Kirsty is one of the Media Cubs creators and her two children – Archie and Jack – were the inspiration behind it. She is passionate about giving young people a voice and the confidence to understand their views and opinions matter and give them a space to celebrate their creativity and individuality. Kirsty is always in a newsroom and has 15 years experience of working as a regional print journalist, before working for a national charity as the PR and campaigns officer and then setting up her own social enterprise – Yellow Jigsaw – which also runs a newsroom for over 50s – Talking About My Generation. It is important to Kirsty to tackle the issue of diversity in the media.
