“Why fit in when you were born to stand out?“
My name is Sami, I have recently completed my degree in Education, Psychology and Counselling.
Wigan and Manchester
During my own education and childhood, I struggled with my self-esteem, confidence and academic abilities.
At age 20 I was diagnosed dyslexic, something which could have held me back but didn’t; it enhanced my passion and drive for working with children and young people, helping them believe in themselves and understand that anything is possible and there is a place for them, not only in our Media Cubs newsroom but in any aspect of their life.
I have worked in both primary and secondary educational settings over the past four years and have volunteered at my local Brownies for over 11 years.
I love running Media Cubs workshops and I’m proud to be part of the team, I love talking and meeting new people so if you’d like to have a chat or find out more please feel free to contact me.
Contact Sami to join a Media Cubs club or party, or if you can’t see a club in your area chat to us and we’ll get a club started!
