Mini reporters get exclusive preview of roar-some theatre show!
Media Cubs mini reporters will be getting another real-life media opportunity to put their reporting skills to the test thanks to a partnership with a new theatre performance, Stan: a bilingual play for children which explores communication, friendship, identity, the family unit… and dinosaurs.
Written by Sarah Emmott of Art with Heart, the play tells the story of Sam: a happy, dinosaur loving 8-year-old whose world turns upside down after his parents separate. As he takes himself off to the far end of the school field he meets Alex, a deaf girl with a vivid imagination – and an impressive collection of dinosaurs.
Reporters will be attending an exclusive preview performance to interview the actors, guests and to create their own reviews of the play.
Kirsty, project lead at Media Cubs, said: “It’s so exciting to be able to provide mini reporters with real life media opportunities – and to do this by reviewing a theatre performance that celebrates the power of play, the joy of communication and the positive force of friendship is perfectly matched to Media Cubs. We can’t wait!”
The play will be launching a national tour, starting at Z-arts in Manchester on Thursday, February 10. To book, visit https://artwithheart.org.uk/portfolio/stan/
